Last year, he constructed a library building in the oldest and largest community college in Janmatholo Dolakha. As the president of the college, I understood the building correctly.

He lost his wife last year. After the death of his wife from cancer, some problems were added to his health. Disturbed, depressed and ill-health was told by his face . In recent days, his race has been going on for the establishment of an engineering college in Dolakha. I went to his Vanasthali residence to express my condolences during the 13-day mourning period for his wife . At that time, his face would tell, there is a deep pain of separation from his wife . Rupa Shrestha was seen in every social function of Atma Dai. He would help fulfill the promises he made. A map of the library building was being prepared at Gaurishankar Multipurpose Campus, which is the oldest and only master's degree course in Dolakha, according to Rupa's wish. At that time I was the president of the said campus .

While about Barkhi, he tried to get some advice from me about the nature of the library. At that time, he also remembered the promise made by his late wife. He said, 'Even at the last moment when he was suffering from cancer, Rupa said to complete the construction of the library building on the campus.'

His role in establishing the college in Dolakha Charikot in the year 2038 is unparalleled. Students of Dolakha had no choice but to walk to the capital every week to study higher education. Within the district, there were only limited schools providing education up to class 10. The community college was established at a very sad time. Atma Dai continued to be the Chairman of the Board of Directors from the time of establishment until 2055. Even after taking leave from the presidency, he continued to work as the president of the campus .

Atmakrishna was born in Dolakha Bazar. A hydro engineer who contributed a lot to his home district. It was difficult to get approval for the campus when the extreme autocracy of the Panchayat period was imposed. Until then, only a limited number of colleges in the big cities of the country had received approval in connection with Tribhuvan University.

In the approved college, only the panchayat representative Achaladheesh or similar person was made the president . Despite being the ex-officio president, Achaladheesh never set foot in the college . Atma Dai acted as the Acting President from the first day after the Achaladishi did not even hold a meeting.

I did a deep study of the records during the two terms of the president of the said college . By publishing in Gaurishankar Punj Samarika, I brought out the details of the celebrities who have contributed since the establishment of the college . I started the tradition of gradually recording history based on contributions and honoring them accordingly.

During my wife's 13-day Kazkiria, Atma Dai took out a Nepali file from the drawer of the house and gave me a Nepali file. There was a document about the efforts made to establish an engineer college in Dolakha. His next dream is to establish an engineer college in Dolakha . For that, sometimes he used to run alone, sometimes in a team. After the death of his wife, who supported him in social work, he put the file in front of me saying that now you and the team of Gourishankar Multipurpose Campus should take this work forward . It was committed to join Atma Dai and Mahendra Dai to establish Engineer Kelaj .

Some initiatives of the community project to open the door to become engineers for students from the middle-eastern Himalayan districts of Nepal have been done. The Bagmati state government has set the first condition for the college to be land ownership. Mahendra Dai has agreed to give about 60 ropani land in memory of his father Suvedar Lalit Bahadur Karki.

Currently, Bhimeshwar Municipality of Dolakha is in the process of taking ownership of the college. It is proposed to make the community forest area in Karandi of Dolakha Bazar a college. He was active in the politics of Dolakha for some time . He also ran as a candidate in elections from the Nepali Congress and as an independent. Success did not come. He now prefers to be known as a common person and a social worker.

Gaurishankar became close to Atma Dai after joining Bhumukhi Campus Board of Directors. A perusal of records shows that he served the campus continuously for 42 years . On his 86th birthday, he made a home for the sick in the hospital and handed it over.

It seems that his activism has been hampered by various health problems affecting adults . He does not consider himself weak even a little bit, wanting to be constantly active. While Atmakrishna contributed to the construction of two community-owned colleges, three libraries, and one hospital building, I find it strange that his 87-year-old resting body looks like a young horse in the race for the work.

After seven years as the president of the management committee of the said campus, I stood with Atma Dai's portrait while taking leave. I left the campus with some pictures.
