There has been a storm and rain with lightning in Kathmandu Valley. Experts have suggested to be cautious as windy, tree branches may break, people may be injured due to lightning.
Disaster management expert Dharmaraj Uprati said that with the rain starting in the valley from Thursday afternoon, it will help in reducing the pollution that has been increasing for the past few days . "At this time, it is necessary to be cautious as there are storms and rains with lightning", he said, "Air pollution has increased due to forest fires in most of the country's districts". Air pollution will be reduced due to rainfall.'
As air pollution increased in the valley on Tuesday and Wednesday, Kathmandu was listed as the first polluted city in the world. According to "Air Quality Index", the overall air quality index (AQI) was 265 on Wednesday afternoon. Pollution, which was 165 AQI on Monday afternoon, reached 200 on Tuesday. Today, the pollution has reduced to 177 AQI.
