The Parsa police have seized a large quantity of various types of clothes in a godown in Adarsh Nagar, Birganj, where they had evaded customs revenue.
Based on a special information, the team deployed from the District Police Office Parsa has seized pants, shorts and shorts/shooting clothes worth Rs.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Kumar Vikram Thapa, at around 3 o'clock on Thursday, the police raided the Tulsyan Market based on the information that they had rented a room and illegally smuggled various clothes from India to evade customs revenue and stored them.
Thapa, who is also the spokesperson of Parsa Police, seized about 40 lakh rupees from the warehouse of 44-year-old Ram Ekbal Kushwaha, a resident of Birgunj Metropolitan City-6, and about 80 lakh rupees worth of shorts and pants and shorts from the warehouse of 24-year-old Akash Kumar Gupta, a resident of Birgunj-16. Thapa said that the seized clothes were sent to the Birgunj Customs Office for further action on Friday.
