A forest ranger from Pari Somwar Community Forest Users Group was injured in a leopard attack in the forest at Judibela in Rautahat.
Shailendra Mishra, Head of Division Forest Rautahat, informed that Ganga Kumar, forest watcher of Maleniamai Community Forest User Group located in Chandrapur Municipality-2, was injured in the leopard attack.
'Leopard attacked. He has been taken to Birgunj for further treatment,' he said, 'The number of wild animals has increased in the forest of Rautahat recently.'
Chandrapur-2 ward chairman Dutta Bahadur Thing informed that Kumar was sent to Narayani sub-regional hospital in Birganj for further treatment. Forest staff say that the number of wild animals such as tigers, leopards, deers, wild boars has increased in Rautahat National Forest.
