Man who set fire to house and absconded arrested after 20 years

A person who set fire to 12 houses in Savik Kata Piparadi-6 located in Loharpatti-4 of Mahottari has been arrested after 20 years. According to Mahottari police, 40-year-old Rakesh Yadav of the same place was arrested.

In the year 2061, 12 houses of Piparadi were completely burnt down after the house was set on fire. On 16th January 2075, the Supreme Court convicted Yadav, the defendant in the arson case, and sentenced him to 7 years imprisonment. DSP Santulal Jaiswal informed that Yadav was absconding after the

incident and after a tip-off they managed to arrest Yadav.

Jaiswal said that the arrested Yadav was brought to the District Court Mahottari on Monday for necessary action.
