Fierce fire in Matihani of Mahottari: More than 100 houses burnt

A severe fire broke out in Jaralhawa Gachi located in Matihani Municipality-6 of Mahottari. Hariprasad Mandal, Mayor of Matihani Municipality, said that around 100 houses in the village were set on fire.
More than 100 houses of the village have been burnt. Even now, about 50 houses are on fire,' Mayor Mandal told Kantipur, 'We have been trying to put out the fire for 3 hours but we have not been successful.'
Mayor Mandal informed that the staff of Matihani Municipality, Jaleshwar Municipality, Ramgopalpur Municipality, Provincial Police Office Janakpur along with Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police, Matihani Municipality and others are trying to put out the fire.
