The 7th KNP Nirolak National Women's Volleyball Tournament will be held from May 12 to 15 at Rakhep Covered Hall in Tripureshwar. 5 teams will compete in the competition organized by Sher Bahadur Khadka Memorial Foundation since 2070. Ranjan Khadka, president of the institute, said that efforts will be made till the end for the sixth team.

Former vice president of Nepal Volleyball Association Khadka said that the participation of former winners New Diamond Youth Sports Club, Nepal Police Club, Nepal APF Club, Tribhuvan Army Club and Jawalakhel Volleyball Training Center has been confirmed in the tournament which is being organized in the name of his father.

Participating teams will be divided into two groups and the top two teams from both groups will advance to the semi-finals. The winner will get Rs 499,000, the runner-up will get Rs 250,000 and the third runner-up will get Rs 125,000. According to the foundation, the best player will get 50,000 rupees, the best player will get 25,000 rupees and the player of the match will get 15,000 rupees.

"This organization, which was opened to fulfill social responsibilities, has been conducting women's speech contests to empower women and increase their capacity," said President Khadka, "we have also increased the prize money compared to last year."

He thanked the multinational company KNP Nirolac Paint for continuing the sponsorship despite the difficult financial situation.

In a press conference, an agreement was signed between Sher Bahadur Khadka Memorial Foundation and KNP Nirolak Company. Patron Gamali Khadka from the institute and Manoj Kumar Mishra, Country Head of KNP Nirolak signed the agreement. The prize money of the competition with an estimated budget of 5 million is more than 13 million. On the occasion of the opening of the

competition, one national player will be honored with the Sher Bahadur Khadka Special Award with 50,000, according to the foundation. "The level and height that this tournament has reached has challenged the volleyball association to do a good tournament," said Bharat Shah, vice president of the volleyball association and former captain of the national team.
