Bhuvan Nagarkoti topped the first day of the Surya Nepal Kathmandu Open Golf Championship with a score of even par 68 on Tuesday.

He beat Ravi Khadka, Bhuvankumar Rokka and Neeraj Tamang by one stroke. All three golfers finished Tuesday's game with a 1-over 69 and tied for second place. Purnaprasad Sharma, Dhan Bahadur Thapa, Jairam Shrestha, Sanjay Lama and Dinesh Prajapati jointly shared the fifth position with a score of 2 over 70. Pashupati Sharma finished tenth with a score of 3 over 71.

Bhuvan finished the front nine in 2 over 36. He started with a birdie, but bogeyed the first hole, but faced birdies on the second, third and ninth holes. He was tackled in the back nine. He dropped a shot on the 13th hole and birdied the 16th hole to complete the back nine in 2-over 36. Tasi Chiring and Sadbhava Acharya jointly led the

amateur. They finished the first day's play at 4 over 72. With a score of 8 over 76, Neelkumar Thapa and Bharat Thapamar shared the joint third place.

Subas Tamang, who made his debut in the Surya Nepal Golf Tour, shot 4 over 72 on the first day. He finished joint 11th overall with amateurs Tassi and Sadbhava. In the

four-day tournament, the cut will be applied at the completion of 36 holes. 21 professional players will play the last 18 holes. Top 21 players will receive cash prizes. In the case of amateur players, only those who are cut by professional players will be allowed to participate in the last 18-hole competition. 32 professional and 9 amateur golfers have participated.
