Nawalpur won the men's title and Parbat won the women's title in the district level volleyball tournament of Gandaki province. The Gandaki Province district level volleyball tournament was held in Warpak, Gorkha under the coordination of the District Development Committee and organized by the Provincial Committee.
In the final match between Nawalpur and Syangja on Wednesday, Nawalpur became the first with a set of 3-2. Nawalpur, who came first, got a medal, trophy and certificate along with one lakh cash.
Syangja, who came second, got 75,000 cash and Myagdi, who came third, got 50,000 cash prizes along with trophies, medals and certificates, informed Shantsingh Basnet, chairman of the District Sports Development Committee.
In the women's final match between Parbat and Myagdi, Parbat became the first with 3-2 sets. Parbat, the first runner-up, received one lakh, Myagdi, the second runner-up, 75,000 and Syangja, the third runner-up, received trophies, medals and certificates along with cash prizes of 50,000.
10 women's and 10 men's district teams participated in the volleyball tournament which started on Monday. Himal Sunari of Nawalpur became the best player for men and Rima Kunwar of Parbat became the best player for men. They were also awarded with cash prizes .
