Franklin, who was born in Massachusetts on January 17, 1706, is the only American father of the nation who signed all four of the major agreements to end British colonial rule. Those agreements are the Declaration of Independence (1776), the Treaty with France (1778), the Treaty of Paris (1783) and the American Constitution (1787). Franklin made various inventions like lightning rod, bifocal lens, Franklin stove.
