The NEPSE index, which measures stock trading, closed down by double digits (10.83 points) on Wednesday. Compared to the previous day, NEPSE decreased by 0.53 percent to 230.86 points on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the NEPSE increased by about 10 points, but that increase did not last until Wednesday.
According to NEPSE, the share price of 51 companies that came into trading on Wednesday increased while the share price of 188 companies decreased, while the share price of the remaining 6 companies remained stable.
69 lakh 47 thousand 21 shares were bought and sold in about 44 thousand 249 transactions. Shares worth 2 billion 235 million rupees have been traded in those purchases. The transaction amount is less than the previous day. Shares worth 2.35 billion rupees were traded in the stock market on Tuesday.
