Medical practitioner Durga Prasain's private bodyguard has been arrested by the police in the Supreme Court with weapons. SP Vinod Silwal, head of the security unit of the Supreme Court, said that during the hearing of his case, which started on Friday, a semi-automatic gun, 100 rounds of ammunition and four magazines were found from Prasain's bodyguard, which was made in Germany.
"A weapon was found in the bag during the regular check," Silwal said, "We have immediately sent the carrier along with the weapon to the Singhdarbar Circle for further investigation." The police said that they have started the investigation by keeping the bodyguards Deepak Khadka and Ramkumar Dhimal at Singha Darbar circle.
The name of the bearer is Deepak Khadka written in the license taken in the name of Prasain. It is revealed that Khadka is an ex-serviceman. Security has been heightened in the Supreme Court after weapons were found while trying to enter the court premises. "It seems that such an incident has never happened before," said Govind Ghimire, assistant spokesperson of the Supreme Court.
