A person has been arrested for raping a girl in Sabhapokhari rural municipality. Dil Bahadur Shrestha, 64, of Sabhapokhari rural municipality-2, was arrested, said Ashok Jabegu, police inspector of District Police Office Sankhuwasabha.
He was arrested by the police from Basarpak located in Khandbari Municipality-1. Shrestha, who absconded, was living in Sillong, India. The victim's family filed a complaint on the charge of forced rape repeatedly under various temptations till 20th July 2080.
Khandbari-1 while coming from India He was arrested from Basarpak and released on Tuesday. A case has been registered against the arrested Shrestha for the crime of coercion and investigation is underway. According to the Civil Crimes Code, 2074, the police are investigating the extortion case after extending the deadline.
