Lokendra Shahi, who went missing on Monday after jumping into the river from Karnali Bridge at Chisapani in Kailali, was found dead on Thursday. District Administration Office Kailali Information Officer Shivraj Joshi said that his body was found at Tikapur Municipality 2 Sankatti Ghat.
30-year-old Shahi of Lamkichuha Municipality 3 Chisapani went missing after jumping into the Karnali river on Holi on Monday. The search for him was started soon after the incident. 17 people jumped into the river along with Shahi from the bridge during Holi.
A group of young people jumped into the river from the bridge to take a photo of the police stationed near the bridge.
