All preparations have been completed for the by-election of Bajhang State Assembly Constituency No-1 to be held on Saturday. The office of the Chief Electoral Officer said that the preparations related to the polling, including the management of the polling station, the security of the voters and the polling station, have been completed.

Preparations for voting have been completed in all 93 polling stations in 74 polling stations under State Assembly Constituency No-1. Chief District Officer Vishwamitra Kuinkel said that more than 1,500 security personnel have been mobilized for the security of polling stations and voters. Kuinkel said that according to the security committee's analysis, 23 polling stations are highly sensitive, so security has been managed accordingly. "Looking at the security sensitivity, seven to 15 policemen have been assigned to a polling station," he said. He said that security arrangements have been made so that security personnel from Nepal, Police, Armed Police, Nepali Army and National Investigation Department work in a coordinated manner. Senior Superintendent of Police Dilliraj Bista and Superintendent of Police Prem Basnet have also reached Bajhang to monitor security preparations.

Chief of the District Police Office, Bharat Shah said that necessary vehicles and security arrangements have been made for the ballot box headquarters Orsan as well. He said that preparations have been made to transport the ballot boxes of Kanda, Dhuli and Nyuna centers of Saipal Rural Municipality by helicopter and bring them to other centers by road vehicles.

There are 11 candidates in the election contest in Bajhang Pradesh Sabha Constituency No-1 for the by-election.

After the death of Prithvi Bahadur Singh, a member of the Provincial Assembly who was elected on behalf of the Nepali Congress in the 2079 election, a by-election is about to be held here. There are 61 thousand 748 voters in this constituency.
