Nottingham Forest was deducted four points on Tuesday for violating the financial code of conduct of the English Premier League. With this, Forest has fallen into the relegation zone.
From the investigation conducted by the independent committee, it was determined that Forest incurred huge losses in the year 2022-2023 and violated the code of economic conduct in the process. The club said it was disappointed and saddened by the action taken against it.
Forest are the second club to be deducted points in the Premier League this season. Earlier, Everton was also deducted 10 points. Later it was reduced to six points. After this action, Forest was limited to 21 points and finished third from the bottom.
