In the women's side of the 8th RBB NVA Women's and Men's Volleyball Championship, the Everest Volleyball Club, consisting of three Indian players, defeated the Tribhuvan Army Club by a set of 3-1.
Everest scored 24-26, 25-17, 25-17, 25-22. New Diamond Academy beat APF Club 25-17, 17-25, 25-15, 25-23.
On the men's side, APF Club won. Defeated Jawalakhel Volleyball Training Center in Rakhep Covered Hall in Tripureshwar in straight sets 25-18, 25-17, 25-14. From Group B, APF and Sudurpaschim Pradesh have reached the quarterfinals. Jawalakhel has been eliminated from the tournament after losing both games.
On Monday, Tribhuvan Army, Gandaki Pradesh and Nepal Police Club won. Army beat Newton Club 25-15, 25-12, 25-20. Earlier, Army also defeated Gandaki Pradesh in straight sets. Gandaki has defeated Manimukund Volleyball Club Butwal in a set of 3-1. From Group D, Gandaki kept their chances of reaching the quarter-finals alive. Army is at the top with 6 points. Gandaki and Mani Mukund have 3 points in common. Newton did not open a score account.
Police beat Budhanilkanth Volleyball Club in straight sets 25-19, 25-14, 25-22. The team has reached the quarter-finals as the winners of Group 'C'. Budhanilkanth has also advanced by becoming the runner-up.
