After defeating the defending champion Benisahar Youth Society by 3-1, Bhunikhel Football Club Sambhu has entered the final of the 7th Smart Village Gold Cup held at Ghalegaon in Lamjung, Kathmandu.
In the competition held on Wednesday afternoon at the Swargbhoomi Rangshala in Ghalegaon, Bensihar, who was considered a title contender, was defeated by Bhunikhel.
As soon as the first half started, in 2 minutes of the game, Sunil Gole of Bhunikhel scored the first goal. In the first half of the very competitive game, after foreign player William Richard scored in the 5th minute of the game, Benisihar could not score a goal.
In the 74th minute of the second half, Jai Gurung scored a goal for Bensi Sahar by taking advantage of the penalty opportunity after the player of Bhunikhel touched the ball with his hand in the 'D' area. Sunil Gole of Bhunikhel led his team to the final by scoring again in the last minute of the game in the 79th minute.
Friendship youth club Tanahun and Laligurans youth club Bhujung, the famous Triveni Cup champion of the region, are competing in Gatpus on Wednesday to enter the final. The final match will be held on Thursday. In the
competition, the first prize is 550,555 rupees, a gold cup and a medal, and the second prize is 350,355 rupees, a cup and a medal. The highest scorer and the best player will get a cash prize of 10/10 thousand rupees and a medal. Ganga Ghale, sports coordinator of Smart Village Ghalegaon, said that the organizers will be provided.
